Everything about this bread knife is handmade and for personal safety I have used nothing on the wood, not even corn, or olive oil.
Epoxy was used to hold the handle pieces together
The screws holding the blade on are just screwed into the wood.
Be careful, the knife blade is very sharp!!
Plus, although this knife looks heavy, it is truly very light.
